The story of Heidi was issued by View-Master for over 50 years starting with Sawyer’s and ending with Alpha Cine. 

Written by Johanna Spyri (1827-1901), a Swiss writer of many childrens books. Directed by Luigi Comencini This 3 reel set is a re-issue of the 1950s set. Movie was in black & white, but the images on the reels from the movie are in color.

Story
Young orphan Heidi (Jennifer Edwards) is left to live with her estranged grandfather (Sir Michael Redgrave), who lives like a hermit in the Swiss Alps. While he is cold and distant at first, he grows to love and cherish her, until he’s faced with choosing her well-being over his own heart
