The Manfrotto Fluid Monopod with 500 Series Head is a lightweight fluid monopod with a modified MVH500AH fluid video head that rises to 6.6′ and holds HD camcorders up to 11lb. This monopod is unique in that it features a fluid pan cartridge in the base that does away with the need for a panning action head. What does that mean for you? You’ll get incredibly smooth panning action without having to change the angle of your camera and lens. There are also retractable feet at the base that give you additional stability while also keeping the monopod compact for transport.

The Manfrotto MVM500 features a permanently mounted quick release with a long sliding plate that has both 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 screws. There’s also an Easy Link 3/8″ connector in case you’ll be using an external monitor or other video accessory. The side lock system keeps your camera and sliding QR plate safe and sound while also allowing you to click quickly into the head from above rather than slid in from the back. You won’t need a second safety lock either.
